Check the title on the form Meta sent you, then send it to us with your payout history, and we put each figure on the right line of your return.
Meta reports your Facebook Marketplace sales on a 1099-K, which we cover on our Facebook 1099-K page. If Facebook paid you directly through a Marketplace incentive program, Facebook reports that payment on a 1099-MISC.
Meta pays creators through programs such as performance bonuses, ad revenue share on videos and Reels, and payments from fans.
If Meta paid you through more than one program, you can receive more than one form for the year, or one form for several programs. We reconcile each form against your payout history, so the total on your return matches what Meta paid you.
Meta has to send a 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC only when it pays you at or above the federal threshold for that year:
Your own filing threshold is lower, and you measure it differently. You multiply your Schedule C net profit by 92.35 percent on Schedule SE, and you file Schedule SE if the result is 400 dollars or more.
Say Meta paid you 1,500 dollars in performance bonuses during 2026, you had no expenses, and you had no other self-employment income.
If Meta sent you no form for a year you earned from it, send us your payout history before you file.
For what you owe across your whole return, see individual tax preparation. For Facebook Marketplace sales, see our Facebook 1099-K page.
Credentialed preparers on every return. CPAs and Enrolled Agents, not seasonal staff.
A fixed quote before we start. You get the number up front, not an hourly meter.
Email answered within 24 hours, in filing season as well as outside it.
Send us every form Meta issued you, plus your payout history from the account Meta paid.
We identify which form Meta used for each payout, 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC.
We reconcile the forms against your payout history, including payouts Meta reported on no form.
We report your creator income on Schedule C and work out your net earnings from self-employment on Schedule SE.
We file, and we give you a summary to work from next year.
Pricing runs per return, not per form. These are the factors that set a quote, and you get the fixed number before the work starts.
“That differs from most tax services because most tax services are quite cookie cutter. So we’re going to actually take a look at the person’s goals, what they’re looking for in the short term, what they’re looking for in their long-term.”
“It has been great working with the team at Dimov Tax. They helped my husband and I with our tax returns and throughout the whole process they were very communicative, extremely efficient.”
You can file from Meta's forms yourself. It costs you an evening matching each form to your payout history, and a second evening in a year Meta sends you nothing to match.
We explain general rules and we are not advising you on your own situation. Your answer depends on facts we cannot see until we look at your records, so speak to a CPA before you file.
